CREATING A BESPOKE EXPERIENCE
Add enhancements to your ceremony to make it truly magical
01
Handfasting
Celtic handfasting is one of the oldest wedding rituals in Ireland and it where we get the term 'Tying the knot'
02
Jumping the broom
In the pagan tradition it was thought that the handle represents the male principal and the brush the female principal. Together they represented the perfect unity of masculine and feminine and a symbol of fertility..
03
Wedding Bells
In ceremonies of old in Ireland, often the congregation were given smalls bells to ring during the marriage rites. Some couples now walk down the aisle to the sound of their guests ringing small bells to send them on their merry way.
04
Sand/Soil Ceremony
The mixing of sands from your favourite coastlines, or the planting of a tree in soil taken from your home place is a beautifully symbolic way of showcasing the individuals that you were and the future you are entering into..
Celebrating Life, Love and Living
We work with you to come up with the very best ceremony to suit any and all occasions
01
Vow Renewals
Celebrate the milestone you have reached in your marriage by having a vow renewal. Choose to have the wedding your way surrounded by all the loved ones you have made and met throughout your marital journey
02
Baby Naming
Naming your baby is such a sacred right of passage. Celebrate the birth of your child with a unique baby naming ceremony that respects traditions without tying your child to any religious order or belief sytems.
03
Memorials
Life should be celebrated in the way your loved one would have wanted. Personal touches, speeches, eulogies, music and more can all be crafted into a memorial service that honours your loved ones life and memory.
04
Rebirths
Transitions, coming of age, adoptions, divorces, there is much to celebrate. Whatever it is that you want to throw a party for the Celtic Celebrant can be on hand to create a ceremony that you truly deserve.
What's included?
Initial Consultation
I will arrange to meet you both ahead of the big day to introduce myself, talk through your love/birth/life story and discuss how you want your ceremony to be crafted. As a trained ethical celebrant I am not tied into any HSE regulations so you can choose to have your ceremony anywhere, any time. I will share with you a plethora of ideas and leave you feeling excited and assured that your ceremony is in calm and capable hands.
Ceremony Creation
The Big Day
Where ever you decide to hold your event I will be there up to two hours before your guests arrive preparing your ceremony space incl candles, ribbons, sands etc. I will be there calming nerves, welcoming your guests and when you arrive ready to pledge your lives to one another, or name your baby, or celebrate your life I will ensure that your entire ceremony is one that will live on in your and your guests memories forever and always.
What's not included?
As I am not a solemniser the legal aspect of your wedding is not performed during my ceremonies. Therefore legalities with the HSE will still have to be completed seperately. You still will need to give at least three months notice of your intent to marry to the HSE who will then arrange an appointment for you to do the legal signing. This can be done either before or after your wedding ceremony but the best place to get all the information you need on the legal elements is on the HSE website
